Rockwell hardness tester is designed according to the principle of Rockwell hardness test in the world. It only needs one side contact sample to test metal hardness. The probe of Rockwell hardness tester is adsorbed on the steel surface by magnetic force, and there is no need to support the sample. The test accuracy meets the standards of GB / t230 and iso6508, which is not lower than that of bench Rockwell hardness tester. Rockwell hardness testing method was first proposed by American Rockwell (S.P. Rockwell and H.M. Rockwell) in 1914. Later, they improved the design of hardness tester twice in 1919 and 1921, and established the rudiment of modern Rockwell hardness tester.
By 1930, C.H. Wilson had a new design, which made the Rockwell hardness testing method and equipment more perfect. Now our country has produced Rockwell hardness tester with touch screen control, numerical display, curve display and automatic printing test data.
Rockwell hardness testing method is characterized by simple operation, rapid measurement and direct reading from dial indicator, optical projection screen or display screen. Like Brinell and Vickers hardness testing methods, it has become one of the three most commonly used hardness testing methods.
1. The test principle and precision are the same as those of desktop computer, which meet the standards of GB / t230, iso6508 and ASTM E110. The error is no more than 1.5hr after being tested by China Institute of metrology.
2. The test is fast, simple and nondestructive.
3. The drum reading mechanism like micrometer has the advantages of convenient reading, good repeatability and high accuracy.
4. It is equipped with a magnifying glass with light to ensure convenient reading when it is used in a dark place in the workshop.
5. It can test plane workpiece and curvature from Φ 50 mm to infinity.
6. It is used for on-site testing of steel plate, steel pipe, shaft, die, heavy forging, various large and medium sized heat treatment parts, surface quenching and parts on assembly equipment, especially suitable for testing hardness of weld and heat affected zone.
7. It is used for production inspection and acceptance inspection, and can replace Leeb hardness tester with low accuracy.
8. Traceable standard hardness block.
9. Indenter qualified by standard Rockwell hardness tester.
10. The dynamometer used to verify the test force can be traced back to the national sub benchmark.
(1) Regularly inject a small amount of oil into the contact surface between the lead screw and the hand wheel;
(2) Before using the hardness tester, the top surface of the lead screw and the upper end surface of the worktable should be cleaned;
(3) Regularly check the accuracy of the hardness tester with standard hardness block, and never test on the supporting surface;
(4) When there is burr on the bearing surface of the standard hard block, it should be polished with oilstone. When testing at different positions, the hard block should be dragged on the worktable and should not be taken away from the worktable
